How to get there  and parking

Coming from Schiphol Airport with Public Transportation

From Schiphol Airport take the train to
Train station Amsterdam Lelylaan* and then take bus 62 to stop Hoofddorpplein. The train ride takes about 7 minutes. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes.
Exit the bus, turn right in the direction the bus came from. Then take the first street at your right hand side. This is the RIETWIJKERSTRAAT. Ring at number 51.
* At railway station Amsterdam Lelylaan: go down from the platform via the stairs or the elevator. Downstairs turn left, exit the building, turn left again and there you will see the bus stop fo bus 62 (at the other side are the stops for other buses and the tram).
NB:
1. When you take the train, check the signs of the railways at the tracks: some trains only go straight to Central Station. Some stop at Amsterdam Lelylaan (the fast train) and some stop at Amsterdam ZUID WTC!
If you go to Central Station, the trip to our place is twice as long!!!

2. To pay the train you can buy a ticket at the counter in the Railway Station. To pay the bus ride you need a so called "strippenkaart". You can buy a "strippenkaart" (this card with 15 "strippen" costs about 6,50 Euro) also at the counter in the Train Station at the Airport.
Tell the bus driver you have to go to the stop Hoofddorpplein in Amsterdam. The bus driver will stamp your strippen card. This card you can also use in trams and buses everywhere in Holland (and in Amsterdam).

Coming from Schiphol Airport with a taxi

You also can take a taxi to our B&B, but that is quite expensive. At this moment I heard fares of 45 Euro for a ride from the airport to the B&B! The standard rate should be about 25 Euro.
If you take a cab, we advise you to take a cab with the sign TCA (there is a number of the taxi driver on the sign too). And ask for a receipt!! If you have a complaint about the driver, you can ask for his number or note this from the sign on top of the taxi. You don't have to take the first taxi in line, you can make your own choice of which taxi to take. Some taxi drivers will stand in the arrival hall to pick you up, but we advise you to choose the taxi yourself!

Coming with the train to Amsterdam Central Station

Take tram number 2 and get out at the Hoofddorpplein. Go to the Aalsmeerweg (this is the street left side from the tram stop) and take the first road at your right. Ring at house number 51. The tram ride takes about 20 minutes.

Coming with a car from direction Utrecht/Amersfoort

Drive to the ring road Amsterdam and take exit S107 Sloten/Schinkel . At the end of the exit go right and go straight on. Coming on the Aalsmeerweg, take the third road (this is where the pedestrian crossings are) on your left and stop at house number 51.

Coming with a car from Schiphol airport
Follow the blue traffic signs directing to Amsterdam. You will come into the Schiphol Tunnel. After the tunnel drive straight on , following the Amsterdam signs, until you see the sign  exit S107, Sloten/Schinkel.  TAKE THIS EXIT! At the bottom of the exit s107 turn right. Just follow the road (this is about 1 to 1.5 kilometers) until you see a big crossing with traffic lights and a sign S107 Schinkel directing to the right. Take a right turn. Follow the road, just go straight on. You’ll see traffic lights two times when you drive over the viaduct and you just drive straight on. You will see houses now, this is the Aalsmeerweg. Then take the third road on your left, (where you see the pedestrian crossings). This is the Rietwijkerstraat. Ring at number 51.
